HISTORY

The Pedalto Institution was founded in 1998 by mailroom employees of the Hoover Institution for War Peace and Revolution at Stanford University. Realizing that all work is inherently aesthetic and therefore subject to the laws of artistic and cultural production more than any social science theory, they quickly established their own institute devoted to promulgating these important ideas. Throughout the last twenty years the founders and theorists of the Pedalto Institution have been practicing what they preach by running their organization as an aesthetic entity, beholden more to the whims of their collective unconscious than to boards, production, or even existence.
