What We Do

SOCIAL INTEGRATION

We create short and long term projects to integrate groups with cultural, socioeconomic, and situational differences.

Physical game design is great for integration because:

• Its's physical. Physical games create holistic physical interaction in a defined and structured setting
• It's easily understood. Games are universal and can be non verbal for groups with different languages
• It's collaborative. Teams work to build their own culture together with contributions from all sides
• It's accesible. New games don't have cultural baggage; they are available to everyone, and can be designed so all participants can play

EDUCATION

We teach people how to design sports, games and performances, and to be creative with physical play.

Aesthletics is a design oriented approach to physical education; We have organized a wide variety of events for almost any age group or situation, from one day workshops to semester long projects, from four year olds to teachers, and from lectures to competitive sporting events. We teach:

• Physical game design to students not typically interested in athletics
• Sport based creative practices to students who are not typically interested in the arts
• An introduction to design and systems thinking for kids of all ages and abilities
• Trainings for teachers and youth workers to incorporate creative physical game design into their arts or physical education curricula
